DeLand, Fla. – The Palm Beach Atlantic women’s basketball team faced a tough task on Thursday afternoon, taking on the Stetson Hatters in front of 2,386 fans in the Edmunds Center, ultimately falling by a final score of 93-48.

PBA struggled to get the offense going in the first half of the game, scoring just 18 points and shooting 23% (7-of-30) from the floor. The ‘Fish improved in the second half, scoring 30 points on 29% (9-of-31) shooting, but the game was out of reach.

The Sailfish were led in scoring by freshman Jenny Eickhorst, who netted a career-high 11 points thanks to three three-point field goals. No other PBA player finished in double-digits, and no ‘Fish had more than five rebounds. Stetson, meanwhile, had six players score in double-figures and had two players bring down double-digit rebounds.

Palm Beach Atlantic returns to the hardwood Saturday afternoon at 2 PM, taking on Fayetteville State as part of the Shaw Invitational. The Sailfish will conclude their trip with a Sunday afternoon game against Shaw University.
