KANSAS CITY, Kan.- The Sailfish men’s soccer program not only saw success on the field this season but also in the classroom as Palm Beach Atlantic earned the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Team Academic Award for the 2012-13 academic year.

In order for a NCAA Division II program to earn the NSCAA Team Academic Award a team must compile a team grade point average of at least a 3.0.

This past year the Sailfish produced a team GPA of 3.14 to earn the distinction.

A total of 870 collegiate soccer teams (273 men, 597 women) across all divisions were named for the 2012-13 academic year. Of that total, 189 schools including PBA had both their men’s and women’s programs recognized.
