Kasey Wyer Named ICAA Player of the Week

TIFFIN, Ohio- Sophomore Kasey Wyer was selected last week as the Independent Collegiate Athletic Association (ICAA) women’s soccer player of the week. The Greer, S.C. native put home three goals and four assists during the week while leading Palm Beach Atlantic to a perfect 3-0 record.
The ICAA is comprised of NCAA Division II Independent institutions including Chowan University, Lincoln College, Oakland City University, Palm Beach Atlantic, Spring Hill College, Union University and Washington Adventist University. The award is picked by ICAA Director, Mike Bond.
Wyer currently leads the team with a total of 24 points as she has put together seven goals and 10 assists in a total of 15 matches played this season.
She helped lead her team to a 7-0 win over Ave Maria University to begin the week as she managed a goal and two assists in the cause. Up next was a 6-0 win over Johnson & Wales University with Wyer once again adding in a goal and an assist. The team closed out the busy week by defeating Georgia Southwestern University on the road with another 7-0 victory as Wyer deposited another goal and had another assist in the win.
