WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Palm Beach Atlantic put an exciting finish to the regular season on Saturday afternoon, taking Lee University down to the wire and coming away with a 2-2 draw.

The Sailfish celebrated Senior Day during halftime, honoring the nine seniors who played their final home match at Magic Jack Field. Steven Bush, Kevin Ireland, Kenny Hogg, James Kaim, Chris Karafilov, Daniel Pena, Ryan Pereus, Tyler Sanders, and Evan Singlar were all honored for their time with donning the navy and white.

It was a tight first half, with the two teams trading goals early in the contest. Hogg started off senior day with a highlight reel goal, taking a beautiful pass from Sanders to score his 23rd goal of the season.

The Flames came back and scored just ten minutes later, and it would stay 1-1 into the break.

With the second half underway, both sides continued to battle. Palm Beach Atlantic dominated the overall chances, taking a 21-12 shot advantage and winding up with a 9-4 shot on goal mark. The ‘Fish also took 13 corners to the Flames’ three.

PBA got their second half goal on a beautiful set up from Andy Garcia. The sophomore wound his way through the defense and sent a perfect pass to a waiting Hogg, who one-timed it past the keeper.

That goal kept until the 77th minute, when Lee drew the equalizer on a brilliant individual effort from David Perez.

Though ample chances in the overtime for both teams, neither was able to find the golden goal. The Sailfish wrap-up the regular season with a fine record of 10-3-2.
