WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- Senior standout men’s soccer player Kenny Hogg has been named the Player of the Week for the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) and the Independent Collegiate Athletic Association (ICAA) for the week of Oct. 28-Nov. 3. The Irvine, Scotland native scored five goals in two matches to help lead PBA to victories over the University of Tampa and Christian Brothers University.
Hogg’s recent good work has put him back near the top of the national NCAA Division II leaderboard in goals and points per game. Adding to his good work offensively were two more goals and an assist this week in a victory against Union (Tenn.) University to give him 22 goals on the season.
His big week began with a pair of scores against UT on Monday, Oct. 28th as the ‘Fish cruised to a 3-1 victory over the Spartans and then continued with a hat-trick versus CBU on Saturday, Nov. 2nd when PBA managed a 5-2 victory.
Through 14 matches Hogg has put in 22 goals and added six assists for a remarkable 50 points on the season. These type of statistics should come of little surprise to those that follow the PBA men’s soccer team as Hogg led the nation in goals the past two seasons as well with totals of 29 goals and 23 goals in 2012 and 2011 respectively.
PBA has one regular season match remaining on their schedule as they will host Lee (Tenn.) University on Saturday, Nov. 9 at 2 pm. The match will be played at Magic Jack Field with PBA’s nine seniors honored at halftime for Senior Day.
