Men's Golf Competes in South Florida at the Dave Adamonis Sr. Invitational

HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla.- The Sailfish men’s golf team continued their busy stretch of fall competition over the past two days by taking part in the Dave Adamonis Sr. Invitational at the Westin Diplomat Golf Resort in Hallandale Beach. Competing in their third tournament of the fall season the Sailfish finished with a cumulative three-round team score of 938 to finish one stroke behind Ave Maria University.
Gaining more experience with each round played the young team continues to come together as a first-year program under the direction of head coach Craig Watson.
The host Wildcats of Johnson & Wales University earned the team title with an 867 (291-288-288) cumulative score with Webber International University (868) and the College of Coastal Georgia (880) rounding out the top-three.
Ben Murray earned the top-spot as an individual for Palm Beach Atlantic with a three-round score of 227 (76-76-75) to finish +11 for the tournament and finishing tied for 28th.
Jake West would follow in the team standing with a 229 (74-79-76) at +13 while Bryan Gagnon wasn’t far behind with a 236 (78-82-76). Alec Tropea (258) and Chris Clancy (261) rounded out PBA’s participants in the tournament.
Damon Salo of Johnson & Wales earned medalist honors with a 210 (72-67-71) at -6 under par.
The team will have one more fall tournament on Nov. 2-3 in Lake Wales, Florida when they compete in the Beyond the Drive Tournament.
