Sailfish Cross Country Competes at Jim Ryun Invitational

LAKELAND, Fla.- The Sailfish women’s cross country competed in their second race of the season over the weekend as they took part in the Jim Ryun Invitational at Holloway Park in Lakeland. The team finished eighth as a team in the field while Lexi Fenton was the squad’s top runner with a 29th place finish in the field of 82.
Westfield State University earned the women’s team title with 50 points as they placed three runners in the top-10 of the individual standings while Pasco-Hernando Community College took home a runner-up finish.
The Sailfish finished with 200 points to earn their eighth place finish.
Follow Fenton’s time of 22:35 was Brianne Anderson at 23:34 in the women’s 5,000 meter race.
Up next for the Sailfish was Danielle Neal and Ashley Bofinger back-to-back at 60th and 61st place with respective times of 25:05 and 25:36.
Jessica Sexton was not far behind at 26:00 while Anna Marie Fidanza rounded out the competitors with a time of 32:16.
