Sailfish Women's Soccer To Host Seven Matches Among 2013 Schedule

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- With the beginning of soccer season just under two months away the Palm Beach Atlantic women’s team has announced a competitive schedule of matches for the 2013 season. Head coach James Kryger and his team currently has 16 matches on tap for the upcoming season including seven matches to be hosted by the Sailfish at home.
The season will kickoff for the third straight season with a trip to St. Augustine, Fla. to take part in a season-opening tournament at Flagler College on Sept. 6-8. The Fish will battle Limestone (S.C.) College and Barton (N.C.) University during their time in St. Augustine.
Of the four matches the Sailfish have played the past two seasons at the Flagler Tournament the team has gone to overtime three times.
After a short trip to Barry University on Sept. 13 for their first official South Region contest the team will host their home opener on Sept. 17 when they welcome in Warner University for a 4 pm kickoff.
The home opener will begin a three-match home stand with matches against Florida Memorial University (Sept. 19) and Saint Leo University (Sept. 22) following the Warner match.
Up next will be another Sunshine State Conference foe in the University of Tampa to close out the month in Tampa on Sept. 25.
The Sailfish will welcome in Southeastern University for an Oct. 5 date at home before battling three road opponents in ten days. The trip begins with a neutral site match versus the College of Bahamas (Oct. 10) followed by trips to Valdosta (Ga.) University (Oct. 13) and Lynn University (Oct. 19).
Florida Tech begins another home stand for the Fish on Oct. 23 followed by their final two home matches of the season in Nova Southeastern University on Oct. 26 and Ave Maria University on Oct. 30.
A trip to Tennessee in early November will see the team battle Union University on Nov. 5 as the team’s final out-of-state trip during the regular season.
The regular season will wrap up with a road trip to Clearwater Christian College on Nov. 7 in Clearwater, Fla.
