WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- Sailfish men’s soccer head coach Jose Gomez will once again put his team up against some of the top competition that the NCAA South Region and beyond has to offer for the 2013 season as this year’s upcoming schedule was announced on Friday. The Fish will host six home games and a total of 15 regular season matches during the fall.

Returning a strong group of players from last season’s team that reached an all-time program high ranking of No. 10 (NSCAA) in the nation, the Sailfish are seeking an even better season finish this time around. The Fish finished 16-5-1 last season.

This season will open with a home date versus Colorado Christian University on Sept. 5 at 3 pm. From there the Fish will take on the defending NCAA Division II National Champions in Lynn University in Boca Raton, Fla. on Sept. 10.

Another home match versus Florida Southern College will follow on Sept. 17 before the Fish welcome in the University of Tampa on Sept. 24.

The remainder of the month will see the Sailfish visit Saint Leo University (Sept. 21) before a two-game trip to South Carolina to take on Erskine College (Sept. 28) and North Greenville University (Sept. 30) to round out the month of September.

Upon return to South Florida, the Fish will battle tough opponents from the Sunshine State Conference back-to-back when they take on Barry University (Oct. 2) and Eckerd College (Oct. 10).

The team will be back in front of the home fans on Oct. 16 and Oct. 23 when they host Florida Tech and Rollins College respectively, two more top-notch SSC programs.

A neutral site match versus the University of Montevallo (Ala.) in Gainesville, Fla. will be up next for the team on Oct. 26 before another two-match road trip; this time to Tennessee when they will battle Christian Brothers University (Nov. 2) and Union University (Nov. 4).

The team will wrap up the 2013 season at home on Nov. 9 when they welcome in Lee (Tenn.) University for Senior Day.

All matches for the Sailfish feature NCAA Division II opponents.
