AVE MARIA, Fla. - The host Gyrenes greeted Palm Beach Atlantic rudely on Wednesday afternoon, pounding out 10 runs on 11 base hits on the way to a 10-2 route of the Sailfish at Bowies Ballpark.

The Sailfish pitching trio of Kennie Silvestri, Stefano Bucciol, and T.J. Harbuck couldn't stop the potent Gyrenes offense from getting on the board in the later part of the game. After PBA came within one run in the sixth inning, AMU went on to score eight unanswered runs with three in the sixth, one in the seventh, and four in the eighth.
The offense had trouble figuring out a quartet of Gyrene hurlers, with half of the hits coming from freshman Sean Visconti and junior Karl Kapinos, who both went 2-for-4 with a run scored. PBA totaled eight hits and walked three times, but left nine runners on base throughout the contest.
With the loss, the Sailfish fall to 24-21 on the season, while Ave Maria avenges a loss to PBA from earlier in the season, and improves their record to an impressive 37-31.
Palm Beach Atlantic returns to action on Friday for their last regular-season home series against the Eckerd Tritons. The contest is slated to start at 7 PM and will be played at the Roger Dean Stadium baseball complex.
