WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- The Palm Beach Atlantic softball team has had a busy spring over the past several months as they will play over 50 games from February to May while competing against top-level competition from around the nation. Although the competition and their academics keep the student-athletes and coaches busy, the team has still found time to volunteer with worthwhile organizations like Habitat for Humanity.
The Sailfish softball team recently showed their support to Habitat for Humanity by volunteering for the organization’s golf event in addition to their other worthwhile causes.
Members of the team worked the tournament banquet, sold chance drawing tickets to raise funds and assisted in the auction at the event to help raise even more money for the Palm Beach Country chapter of Habitat for Humanity.
The softball team’s service record has been strong throughout the years as they have volunteered their time to other organizations such as their annual Christ Fellowship Thanksgiving meal preparations, Quantum House and the St. Mark’s Neighborhood Autism Athletics Program (S.N.A.A.P.).
