Women's Cross Country Earns All-Academic Team Status

NEW ORLEANS, La.- The United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCA) recently announced their annual Division II All-Academic teams from across the country. Palm Beach Atlantic was one of 127 programs in Division II to earn the impressive distinction with their cumulative team grade-point average of 3.15.

A total of 23 conferences compose the group with King College totaling the highest team GPA for all divisions and genders through the fall 2012 semester at 3.819.

To qualify as a USTFCCCA All-Academic Cross Country Team, the team must have had a cumulative team GPA of 3.00 or better and have compiled a team score at their respective NCAA regional championship.

PBA had a strong season in the fall both on and off the course with seniors Faith Warren and Katherine Harvey earning USTFCCA All-Region honors in addition to the team’s sixth place finish at the NCAA South Regional.
