PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla.- Intermittent rain showers all afternoon eventually washed out Wednesday’s softball action between Palm Beach Atlantic and Mercyhurst (Pa.) University at the Lake Catherine Complex. The Sailfish and Lakers will take the field on Friday, Mar. 1 at 4 pm for another crack at a double-header.

The two teams endured two different rain delays in the top of the first inning that eventually left playing conditions unplayable. With more rain scheduled for the evening the decision was made to postpone the games until Friday.

With only three batters faced in the top of the first inning, the two teams will start over on Friday with a fresh slate.

Both games of the double-header will be covered live on the Sailfish Sports Network.
