MIAMI SHORES, Fla.- Taking on a physical Barry University squad on Wednesday night the Palm Beach Atlantic men’s basketball were unable to topple their South Florida rival as the Bucs prevailed 67-58 in front of a large homecoming crowd.

A late spurt by the Sailfish brought the team back to within striking distance as a Jonathan Kreidt 3-pointer at the buzzer from beyond half-court drew the Fish within a nine-point loss.

As has been the case all season, the Fish never quite as they played to the end in erasing a big second-half advantage.

Five PBA players topped eight points on the night as the team was led by senior Matt Roy with 13 points.

Junior Jahvah Braswell completed his first double-double of the season with a solid performance of 12 points and 10 rebounds on 6-of-10 shooting from the field. Marcus Hardy added in 10 points and seven rebounds.

The Sailfish will wrap up their 2013 slate with a road contest on Saturday, Feb. 23 at Eckerd College at 4 pm.
