DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.- The Sailfish women’s tennis team posted another solid showing on Saturday afternoon as they defeated Florida State College of Jacksonville in the team’s second match of the weekend. PBA earned wins at No. 2 and No. 3-doubles before taking four of the six singles matchups on their way to a 6-3 win.

PBA proved strong in the middle with wins by Victoria Baca, Natalia Trotter and Vilja Vahatalo at Nos. 2-4 of singles while also seeing Liddy Robinson earn a win at No. 6-singles.

Trotter teamed with senior teammate Baca to earn an 8-3 win at No. 2-doubles to get the Fish on the board while Vahatalo and junior Maria Jimenez performed well for a No. 3-doubles win of 8-4.

The Sailfish will wrap up their weekend trip to Daytona Beach on Sunday by taking on Coastal Georgia University at 2:30 pm.
