TAMPA, Fla. – Palm Beach Atlantic couldn’t overcome their own shortcomings against the University of Tampa on Saturday afternoon, falling to the Spartans on the road, 80-42.

The Sailfish shot just 28% (14-of-50) from the floor, 22% (4-of-18) from behind the three point line, committed 19 turnovers, and fouled Tampa 28 times. The Spartans took advantage of the foul trouble, going to the line 39 times in the contest and converting on 23 (59%).

PBA was led in scoring by Ashley Dolberry, who had 17. She now inches closer to becoming the Palm Beach Atlantic all-time leading scorer, being 45 points away with four games remaining. Joining her in double-figures for the game was Kristie Mason, who finished with 10.

Palm Beach Atlantic returns to action on Tuesday evening against West Palm Beach rival Northwood University at 7 P.M.
