MIAMI SHORES, Fla.- The Barry University women’s basketball team completed their season sweep of Palm Beach Atlantic University on Monday night with a convincing 64-50 win after taking down the Sailfish earlier this season at the Rubin Arena.
Now 8-0 on the season, Barry utilized four double-figures scorers while holding the Sailfish to 35.% from the field (17-48) and forcing them into 24 turnovers.

Sophomore Brooke Burgess (Palm City, Fla.) also remained steady in the Sailfish lineup as she pushed her “double-double” streak to four games after totaling 11 points and 10 rebounds on 4-of-9 shooting from the field.
Sophomore Ashley Adkins was the other Sailfish scorer to reach double-figures as she registered 12 points in 37 minutes on the floor.
Princess Bailey, the Buccaneers most lethal outside threat for much of the season, tied for the team lead in points scored by registering 15 points along with Kia Palmer who collected 15 points off the bench for BU.
Christina Thompson and Lisa Fors, both Buccaneer starters, also hit double-figures with 14 and 10 points respectively. Bailey paced the Bucs with eight rebounds, including four on the offensive glass, while producing a game-high six steals in the victory.
