WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – The Palm Beach Atlantic University offense exploded for five goals on Saturday against Eckerd College and came away with a convincing 5-2 victory at Magic Jack Field.

Junior duo Evan Singlar and Kenny Hogg led the attack with two goals apiece. Hogg also added his second assist of the season.

After falling behind just three minutes into the contest, the Sailfish got a lift from Singlar in the 29th minute. Charlie Hubbard flicked a perfect ball to Gabe Carneiro on the left side of the field, who sent a perfect cross to Singlar’s boot for his first goal of the season.

After going into halftime tied 1-1, PBA took a lead they’d never relinquish just two minutes into the second half thanks to a converted penalty kick from Hogg. Kenny would add his NCAA DII-leading 19th goal just twelve minutes later on a beautiful play in the box on a feed from Melo Matutu.

Singlar scored his second goal of the match just five minutes later, taking a rebound and finding the top corner to make the PBA lead 4-1.

After a slew of Sailfish substitutions, the Tritons cut the deficit to two, but Palm Beach Atlantic wasn’t quite finished.

With full time nearing, Hogg delivered a ball into the box for Andy Garcia, who converted the one-timer for his second goal of the season.

Keeper Steven Bush only saw four shots on goal all game, stopping two. In total, PBA outshot Eckerd 21-9 overall. The Sailfish took four corner kicks to just one for the Tritons, and Eckerd finished with 13 fouls and five yellow cards.

Palm Beach Atlantic plays their last regular season home game at Magic Jack Field this coming Tuesday, October 30th against NSCAA #19 Rollins College at 3 PM.
