Kansas City, Kan. – The Palm Beach Atlantic men’s soccer team hit a monumental milestone in its record-breaking season. The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) has ranked the 9-1 Sailfish No. 10 in NCAA DII for the week of October 9th.
Over the weekend, PBA handled in-region opponent West Alabama, who were 9-2 at the time, with relative ease. The Sailfish came out on top with a 4-1 victory, which helped propel the squad up four spots in the rankings. Palm Beach Atlantic reached the highest ranking in school history since moving to NCAA DII in last week’s NSCAA rankings when they were placed at No. 14 in the country.
The Sailfish jumped to the No. 2 spot in the South Region, trailing just Lynn, who is the No. 3 team in the nation. The University of Tampa, Rollins College and the University of West Florida round out the region’s Top Five.
PBA is in the midst of a crucial in-region stretch of matches, taking on the Florida Tech Panthers today, then facing Lynn, Eckerd and Rollins at home in the next ten days.
