KANSAS CITY, Kan. – The Palm Beach Atlantic men’s soccer team received great news Tuesday when the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) rankings were released. After a terrific 8-1 start to the 2012 campaign, the Sailfish have leaped into the top 25 polls and are ranked No. 14 in the country.

The men’s march into the Top 25 marks the first time in program history that a Sailfish soccer squad has been ranked. At No. 14, it is the highest that a PBA program has ever been ranked.

The Sailfish are currently ranked No. 2 in the South Region, leap-frogging Florida Tech and Rollins, which propelled their jump into the Top 25. PBA went 1-1 last week, falling to Barry 3-2 in overtime and defeating Saint Leo in double overtime 1-0.

The next five matches are crucial to the Sailfish postseason dreams. With in-region matchups against West Alabama, Florida Tech, Lynn, Eckerd and Rollins, the goal for an NCAA postseason birth sits within reach.

Palm Beach Atlantic returns home on October 17th to take on the No. 4 Lynn Knights at Magic Jack Field .
