PBA Finishes Season at NCCAA National Tournament

KISSIMMEE, Fla.- Plagued with an inability to finish near the goal, the Palm Beach Atlantic University women’s soccer team finished out their 2007 season by being defeated by Dallas Baptist University on Monday afternoon by a score of 2-0 at Austin Tindall Park at the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) National Tournament.

In the three games played at the NCCAA national tournament over the weekend and Monday, the Sailfish were unable to put together a successful scoring opportunity.

Indiana Wesleyan University defeated Spring Arbor University for the NCCAA national championship by earning a goal in overtime to take the title by a score of 3-2.

After the championship match, the 2007 NCCAA All-Tournament team was announced which included two PBA players. Freshman Alex Regin and junior Jessica Rodriguez earned the honors for PBA.

The loss to DBU dropped PBA’s overall record to 7-11-2 for the season.
