Cross Country Takes Part in the University of Miami's Greentree Invitational

CORAL GABLES, Fla.- The Palm Beach Atlantic University women’s cross country team traveled south on Saturday morning as they competed in the Greentree Invitational, hosted by the University of Miami. Although a small collegiate meet, the Fish were able to put through some solid running times as their team competed officially for the second time this season.

Senior Faith Warren led all collegiate runners with a time of 19:41 on Saturday, a week after earning a third-place finish at the Early Bird Invitational, hosted by the University of Tampa.

Following Warren in the standings were two other senior PBA runners in Katherine Harvey (20:05) and Meghan Gilmore (20:48) while sophomores Kourtney Sumner and Jessica Sexton  posted times of 21:17 and 21:57 in the women’s 5,000 meter race.

Other PBA participants included Morgan Skwira (24:06) and Sarah Walsh (24:36).

Up next for the Fish runners is a trip to Gainesville, Florida on Saturday, September 15th for the Mountain Dew Classic.
