Clarisse Garcia Steps Down as PBA Women's Basketball Coach

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- Clarisse Garcia  resigned Tuesday as head coach of the Palm Beach Atlantic University women’s basketball team.

Garcia, who compiled a record of 15-39 in two seasons as one of the youngest head coaches in the nation, has accepted an assistant coaching position with the University of Alabama.

“Clarisse has represented the department and the women’s basketball program with integrity and professionalism, and we wish her well,” said Athletic Director Carolyn Stone.

The department will conduct a national search for a new head women’s basketball coach beginning immediately, Stone said.
