Sailfish Stumble at Home as Sharks Win Matchup on the Hardwood

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- A stingy defensive effort from Nova Southeastern University on Wednesday night at the Rubin Arena helped lead the Sharks to a NCAA South Region victory over the Sailfish by a final score of 78-50. NSU connected on nearly 62 percent of their shots in the first-half while the Fish were limited to 26 percent from the field for the game as the Sharks cruised to victory.

Iran Hollis led all players on the night with 13 points and seven boards for the Sharks (7-6) as the Sailfish (3-13) failed to put a player into double-figures for the game.

Dante Valentine and Terrell Terry each led the Fish with eight points while freshman Marcus Hardy added in seven points and ten rebounds.

The Sharks would lead by as many as 25 points in the opening half until a Valentine trey lessened the NSU advantage to 49-27 at the break.

Nova would push their lead to as many as 33 points in the second period.

PBA will battle Eckerd College on Saturday, January 14th at 4 pm at the Rubin Arena.
