GREENVILLE, S.C.- A year after winning the program’s first NCCAA National Championship, the Palm Beach Atlantic University men’s soccer team will be out to defend their title against another challenging field of eight teams from around the country. The teams will embark once again on Austin-Tindall Regional Park in Kissimmee, Florida from Nov. 30-Dec. 3 with Palm Beach Atlantic holding down the No. 2 seed in this year’s tournament.
The Sailfish claimed their sixth straight NCCAA regional crown this past weekend in Central, South Carolina in dominating fashion while earning the national tournament’s number two seed as the South Region champion.
Joining the Sailfish in this year’s participants include No. 1 seed California Baptist University, No. 3 seed Judson University, No. 4 seed Cedarville University and No. 5 seed Oakland City University rounding out the top five.
Grace College sits as the No. 6 seed while Geneva College at No. 7 and Southwestern Assemblies of God University rounding out the tournament’s field of teams at the No. 8 seed.
The teams will begin play on Wednesday, November 30th with PBA taking the field against Geneva College on Field 8 at 12 pm as the opening men’s match of the tournament.
Should the team earn a victory in their first round matchup the Fish would take on the winner of Judson University and Grace College on Thursday, December 1st at 5 pm. If the Fish were to drop their first contest against Geneva they would battle the loser of Judson versus Grace at 12 pm.
All the contests will be available at no charge for a video broadcast provided by GPSN Online (www.gpsonline.com). Live statistics may be available through the PBA Athletic Communications office depending on availability.
