Allison Fox Honored as NCCAA National Player of the Week for Women's Soccer

GREENVILLE, S.C.- After a 3-0 week including a pair of shutouts, Palm Beach Atlantic University sophomore goalkeeper Allison Fox was named the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Player of the Week for the week of September 12-18, 2011. Fox helped lead her team to shutout wins over Georgia Southwestern University and Southeastern University while the Fish took care of Florida Memorial University by a 2-1 overtime score.

The Naperville, Illinois native has been solid in between the pipes during her two seasons wearing the Blue and White as she and her squad stand at 5-3 on the season.

Named to the NCCAA All-American honorable mention team last season as well as earning a spot on the Independent Collegiate Athletic Association (ICAA) first-team, Fox is picking up where she left off from her freshman campaign.

A product of Waubonsie Valley High School, Fox has tallied 36 saves and three shutouts in eight matches so far this season with a 1.26 goals against average.

She and her teammates will be back to the pitch on Friday, September 23rd at 7:30 pm in Tampa, Florida where the team will battle the University of Tampa Spartans.

Fox is the daughter of David and Kathy Fox.
