AVE MARIA, Fla.- In what the Sailfish men’s soccer team had hoped to be a jumpstart to a busy holiday weekend of soccer action on the pitch, they would be disappointed on Thursday evening as their contest with Ave Maria University was postponed due to unplayable field conditions. The Blue and White will now head north to battle a pair of opponents in South Carolina on Sunday and Monday.

No makeup date for the contest versus Ave Maria has been announced at this time.

Head coach Jose Gomez and his young squad will now turn their focus to a Sunday afternoon matchup slated for 3 pm versus Newberry College (S.C.) before turning around and taking on the University of South Carolina-Aiken on Monday afternoon.
