TAMPA, Fla.- The United Soccer League (USL) announced on Tuesday that former Palm Beach Atlantic University men’s soccer standout Cheyne Roberts has been selected as the professional league’s Player of the Week and a member of its PRO Team of the Week for Week 11 of the 2011 season. Currently a member of the Charlotte Eagles, Roberts has propelled his team back into the American Division playoff race with the Eagles racking up five straight victories.

He was joined on the USL PRO Team of the Week by teammate Jorge Herrera who had a pair of assists in the victory.
A native of Plant City, Florida, Roberts has played in eight games so far this season and currently leads the team in goals with three while tying for the team lead in total points with six.
The Eagles will next take on the Dayton Dutch Lions on Saturday, June 18th at 8 pm at the Charlotte Christian Stadium.
