WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- The Palm Beach Atlantic University men's basketball program is excited to once again host their annual summer basketball camp sessions at the Greene Complex for Sports and Recreation over the coming weeks. A few new additions to this year's camp offering will be the implementation of materials provided by the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and featured speaker Miami Dolphins' defensive lineman Chris Baker.
Head coach Terry Primm and his staff not only hope to teach and strengthen the performance of each player in the game of basketball but also to share a message of faith. Having a professional athlete like Baker coming to the camp will allow the campers to hear his personal testimony and how he has made the journey from youth player to professional.
Baker will be on hand on for the opening day of the PBA High School Boys Basketball Elite Camp at the Greene Complex for Sports and Recreation which will take place on Monday, June 13th. The camp session is slated to begin at
9 am with Baker set to appear at 11:30 am.
Drafted by the Denver Broncos in 2009, Baker joined the South Florida community in 2010 by becoming a member of the Miami Dolphins.
While in Denver, Baker was actively involved with the Denver area Boys and Girls Club while also serving in his hometown community of Windsor, Connecticut with a Thanksgiving giveaway.
His address of PBA campers will not be the first time he has spoken to a group involving basketball as he was the keynote speaker at the 14th Annual McScholar Athletes Awards at the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Massachusetts.
