WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- Palm Beach Atlantic University head women’s tennis coach Chi Ly has announced his first official signing for the 2011-2012 year in Atlanta, Georgia native, Alexis Antista. An accomplished tennis player since the age of 10, Antista will begin her collegiate tennis career in the fall as a freshman at Palm Beach Atlantic.

A standout high school player at St. Pius X Catholic High School,  Antista has competed in USTA and ITF tennis tournaments since an early age.

As a freshman at SPX, Antista led her team with a 20-2 record in singles while moving on to win region and state titles with her team during high school play. Now living in Texas, Antista has been training at the John Newcombe Tennis Ranch outside of San Antonio, Texas and will graduate from Eaton Academy this spring. She has trained under coaches Phil Hendrie and Jimmy Brown.

Off the court Antista has found great success as well with a 4.0 grade-point average while also finding time to volunteer in several charitable causes. One of those has been her work with the Special Olympics tennis program.
