PBA Men's Soccer Takes Down a Pair of Division I Opponents

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- In full swing of their off-season conditioning and practice period, the Palm Beach Atlantic University men’s soccer team traveled to Naples, Florida on Saturday to take on the University of Wisconsin and Marquette University in a pair of exhibition matches.
Playing at the North Collier Regional Park, the Sailfish came away with a pair of victories including a 1-0 opening win over Marquette University from the Big East Conference and followed that up with a come-from-behind 2-1 victory over the Badgers of the University of Wisconsin.
In the opener, junior Chance Sumner tallied the game's lone goal which came in the 10th minute of the first half on an un-assisted goal. Goalkeeper Joe Yurchak posted the shutout along with the Sailfish defense.
Against Wisconsin, sophomore Cheyne Roberts tied the contest at one goal apiece in the first-half with an assist from Josh Sharpe. Robert's would tally the game-winning goal in the second-half on an assist from his brother, Caleb Roberts. Yurchak once again earned the victory between the pipes for the Fish.
Playing two 30 minute halves in each game, the Palm Beach Atlantic University men's soccer team continues to build on their solid 2007 campaign which witnessed one of the finest seasons in Sailfish soccer history by going 14-4-2.

Both of these matches were friendly scrimmages however both opponents represent quite possibly the two most high-profile opponents a Palm Beach Atlantic men’s soccer team has ever competed against.
