MELBOURNE, Fla.- With a 2-2 tie in the third inning on Wednesday afternoon between Palm Beach Atlantic and Florida Tech, a thunderstorm would roll through the Melbourne area and eventually wipe out any chance of the two baseball teams completing their mid-week matchup. Because of lightning and poor playing conditions because of the storm, play was suspended with the two teams agreeing to resume play on April 27th at 3 pm.

Both teams had cracked the scoreboard with each scoring two runs in the first two innings.

Jorge Chavarria has collected a pair of doubles while driving in a run and scoring another. Johnny Cole also has a double as PBA has registered five hits in three innings.

All statistics have been frozen for the time being as the two teams will plan to resume the game in late April.
