Northwood University of Michigan Prevails in Battle on the Court with PBA

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- The No. 36 ranked Palm Beach Atlantic University women’s tennis team took on No. 25 ranked Northwood University (Mich.) on Wednesday afternoon at Gaines Park with the Timberwolves outlasting the Sailfish by a final score of 6-3. Northwood would take two of the three doubles while the Sailfish earned singles wins at the top and bottom respectively.

Palm Beach Atlantic saw Jessica Wharton and Jordan Ittersagen team up for a win at No. 2 doubles as they put forth a strong effort in earning an 8-2 win.

Victoria Baca and Krishna Domenech continued their solid play of late as Baca prevailed 6-3, 6-3 at No. 1 singles while Domenech dominated at No. 6 with a 6-0, 6-2 win.

The ladies tennis team drops to 11-9 on the season with a matchup on Thursday afternoon at 4 pm versus Lindenwood University upcoming. The two teams will square off at a neutral site in Kissimmee, Florida.
