UMASS Too Strong for Sailfish as Minutewomen Sweep PBA in Women's Tennis

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- Welcoming in their first NCAA Division I opponent of the season on Wednesday afternoon at Gaines Park in the University of Massachusetts, the Palm Beach Atlantic University women’s tennis team was defeated 9-0 by the Minutewomen as the loss drops Palm Beach Atlantic to 10-6 on the season.

Certainly proving their worth, the University of Massachusetts rattled off all nine victories in dominating fashion with the only game going three sets being at #1-singles as PBA’s Victoria Baca took here opponent to three sets while falling 6-1, 4-6, 10-6 in a tight match.

Jessica Wharton and Jordan Ittersagen teamed up for a solid effort at #2-doubles with an 8-5 loss.

PBA will be back to their regular schedule on Friday, March 18th when they take on Florida Southern College at Gaines Park beginning at 3:30 pm.
