ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.- Although the Sailfish softball team got off to one of their best game starts in recent memory by scoring eight runs in the top of the first inning on Saturday afternoon at Eckerd College, the weather would not be as cooperative as heavy rain fall came over the EC campus and would wash out the remainder of the game as well as game two of the double-header. The two teams have agreed to reschedule the double-header for February 15th beginning at 4 pm.

Game one was halted in the second inning with the Sailfish leading 8-0 which is where the game will be resumed on February 15th. A second game will follow on that day as well as the two region opponents will attempt to make up the early season contest.

Palm Beach Atlantic will return to the diamond on Wednesday, February 9th as they will host Palm Beach County rival Lynn University at 6 pm. The double-header will be played at the Lake Catherine Sports Complex in Palm Beach Gardens. Admission is free.
