Men's Cross Country Competes at NCCAA National Championships in Ohio

CEDARVILLE, Ohio- After nearly a month off from competitive racing, the Palm Beach Atlantic University men’s cross country team made the trek to Cedarville, Ohio on Saturday to compete in the NCCAA National Championships at the Elvin R. King Cross Country Course on the campus of Cedarville University. Running in arguably optimal conditions, the Sailfish men’s team finished 20th in the competitive field.

The host Cedarville University squad would take home the team title with TJ Badertscher leading the way as he claimed the individual title in the men’s 8,000 meter race with a top time of 26:08.

Freshman Justin Mikesell led PBA’s young squad once again on Saturday as he posted a final time of 29:18 which placed him 81st in the field. Fellow freshman Chris Lopez was next in line with a time of 29:35 for a 92nd place finish in the race.

Other PBA runners competing were freshman Andrew Rodberg (30:52), senior Kyle Pryce (31:15), sophomore Kyle Mason (31:18) and senior Brad Treen (31:41).
