PBA Women's Soccer Ranked 9th in Latest NCAA Regional Poll

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- Although the regular season is complete, the Palm Beach Atlantic University women’s soccer team still has much to play for in the coming weeks. Recently named the #1-seed for the upcoming National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) South Regional Tournament on November 19-20, the Sailfish were also recently rated ninth in the latest NCAA/NSCAA regional rankings after a 10-5-1 regular season.
PBA will travel to Chowan University in Murfreesboro, North Carolina for the NCCAA South Regional Tournament next weekend as they hope to capture another trip to the NCCAA National Championships in Kissimmee, Florida, slated for early December.
Sponsored by HendrickCars.com, the final regular season NCAA/NSCAA regional rankings were released on Tuesday with the University of West Florida holding on to the #1-regional ranking with a 17-2 record followed by the University of Tampa, Florida Southern College, Rollins College, and Nova Southeastern University in the top-five.
Seven teams will participate in the NCCAA Regional tournament with the Fish being awarded a first-round bye via the number one seed. PBA will take on the winner of North Greenville University (#4-seed) and Emmanuel College (#5 seed) on Friday, November 19th at 2 pm.
If the Sailfish come out victorious in their first-round match they will then find themselves in the championship match on Saturday, November 20th at 1 pm.
