ATLANTA, Ga.- Following the path of the Palm Beach Atlantic women’s soccer team, the men’s team took a quick trip to Atlanta on Monday to take on North Greenville University for a neutral site match at the site of the Atlanta Silverbacks, a professional club that has graciously offered their facility to host the pair of NCCAA south region foes. After a scoreless first-half the Fish grabbed a pair of second-half goals to earn a 2-0 win for their ninth victory of the season.
Senior Kyle Crouse tallied the game-winner in the 60th minute when he received a volley pass from teammate Charlie Hubbard past the NGU keeper for the game’s first goal.
Freshman Evan Singlar would tally his fourth goal in his last two games for the insurance score around ten minutes later as senior Josh Sharpe fed Singlar a swift through ball that Singlar was able to finish in breakaway fashion.
Jonathan Strunk went the distance in goal as he tallied the shutout as PBA improved to 9-6 with the victory.
PBA will now turn their focus to their final home game of the season which will take place on Saturday, November 6th at Magic Jack Field. The game will take place at 11 a.m. versus Benedictine.
