GREENVILLE, S.C.- For the second consecutive week Palm Beach Atlantic University junior Meghan Gilmore has been honored by the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) as their National Women’s Runner of the Week. After earning top honors at the Florida Tech Invitational last week, Gilmore finished fifth at the UF Mountain Dew Invitational as the only non-NCAA Division I runner in the top-10.

Gilmore improved her already impressive time in the women’s 5K in one week by 16 seconds from Saturday-to-Saturday as the 5’4” Asheville, North Carolina native came away with a time of 17:43 for fifth place in the race.

Her time placed her just 11 seconds behind the leader.

Gilmore and her teammates will be training hard over the next few weeks as they will go up against another tough challenge in the Walt Disney Cross Country Invitational on October 9th as their next competition.
