WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- The Palm Beach Atlantic University women’s basketball program has announced October 1-3 as the dates for the upcoming Show-N-Prove Southern Showcase event coming to the Greene Complex for Sports and Recreation and the Rubin Arena. A national showcase event that will offer high school players an opportunity to display their talents for college recruiters, the program will be a first-time event for PBA.
Having experienced the rigors of collegiate basketball as a former player at Villanova University, Sailfish first-year head coach Clarisse Garcia saw the opportunity to host such an event as an opportunity to not only bring top-notch talent into West Palm Beach but also to offer the community a place to hold such a prestigious event.
"We are blessed to have wonderful facilities here at PBA that can be utilized for events such as the Show-N-Prove Southern Showcase,” said Garcia.
“My hope is that this opens the door to hosting other high school and AAU events in the future. It is exciting to have these talented student-athletes, their families, and coaches on our campus. Earl Elliot and Kimberly Davis-Powell always have competitive and well-structured events, so I speak for myself and other collegiate coaches that we look forward to this with great anticipation”, continued the Sailfish head coach.
This year marks the ninth year of competition for the Showcase and the first time being hosted on the campus of Palm Beach Atlantic.
