Men's Tennis Just Misses Out on Overtaking Liberty University

HUTCHINSON ISLAND, Fla.- Taking on a NCAA Division I opponent for the first time this season, the Palm Beach Atlantic University men’s tennis team hosted Liberty University on Monday afternoon and nearly came away with an upset as the Flames edged the Sailfish 4-3.
Palm Beach Atlantic #1 doubles partners Brock Newton (Roanoke, Va.) and John Tilton (Salem, Ore.) came away with the Sailfish lone victory in the doubles side while Newton, Paul Segodo (Benin, Africa), and James Buerkle (Lake Worth, Fla.) each tallied victories in the singles competition.
The Fish will look to rebound from this tough defeat as they take on Hastings College on Thursday, March 20th. This match will once again be played at the Hutchinson Island complex with a start time of 2:45 pm.
