WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- Although the 2010 season is still months away, parents and fans of the Palm Beach Atlantic University volleyball program can now begin circling important dates on their calendars as head coach Bob White has announced a challenging slate of regular season, tournament, and potential postseason contests.

Returning to the bench after a three-year layoff of handling only his duties as Athletic Director, White has returned this spring in taking over the PBA volleyball program once again, a program he led from 2002-2006. During that span the Sailfish compiled a .789 winning percentage while also capturing the 2004 NCCAA National Championship.

The 2010 schedule includes 20 regular season contests with a few tournaments mixed in as well that will challenge White’s new squad.

PBA will once again host the Pepsi Bash at the Beach Tournament on October 8th and 9th while also traveling to Cedarville University in Ohio for tournament action. The Fish open up the regular season with a two-day tournament on September 3rd and 4th as they will travel to Lees-McCrae College in Banner Elk, North Carolina. The Blue and White will head back to the Carolinas in visiting the University of South Carolina-Aiken for another tournament on October 22nd and 23rd.

The Sailfish will host cross-town rival Northwood University for a season-opening scrimmage on Wednesday, September 1st at the Rubin Arena. Their first official home date comes on September 21st as the Sailfish will welcome in Florida Tech at 7 p.m.

PBA will host other south Florida rivals such as Lynn University (Sept. 25), St. Thomas University (Oct. 5) and Barry University (Oct. 13) while traveling to the likes of Saint Leo University (Oct. 19) and Rollins College (Nov. 13).

The Rubin Arena will host nine matches throughout the 2010 campaign not counting the two-day Pepsi Bash at the Beach Tournament which will play host to a strong collection of opponents from throughout the country.
