West Alabama Nips Sailfish Men's Tennis with 5-4 Decision

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- The Tigers of the University of West Alabama delivered a blow to the Sailfish men’s tennis team on Tuesday afternoon at Gaines Park by closing out a 5-4 win in a NCAA South Region contest. The loss drops Palm Beach Atlantic to 8-6 on the season.

PBA pushed through for a pair of wins in the doubles portion of the match with Krasimir Atanasov and Luke Bolanos combining for an 8-0 win at #1-doubles and Alex Minicozzi and Nick Hines producing an 8-3 win at #3-doubles. The Fish would struggle however in singles action with only Atanasov and senior Tyler Dealy managing victories.

Atanasov posted a 6-1, 6-0 win at #1-singles while Dealy worked hard for a 2-6, 6-4, 4-3 defeat at #4-singles.
