WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- Completing what has been a busy week for the Palm Beach Atlantic University women’s tennis team, the Lady Sailfish completed a 9-0 sweep at the hands of Southeastern University (Fla.) on Friday afternoon in a quick match at Gaines Park. The team had dropped their two previous decisions early in the week however with today’s victory improve to 8-8 on the season.
The Southeastern University squad was without a complete lineup on Friday which made for two automatic wins for PBA at #3-doubles and #6-singles however the rest of the PBA lineup would have little trouble defeating the visiting Fire.
The #1-doubles duo of junior Lina Rubiano and senior Natalie Aleman managed an 8-0 sweep while freshman Jordan Ittersagen and sophomore Amber Braaten came away with an 8-2 win at #2-doubles to earn a 3-0 lead heading into singles.
