Three in a Row; Sailfish Women's Tennis March Forward on Spring Break

ORLANDO, Fla.- The Palm Beach Atlantic University women’s tennis team continued to work their magic in the city of Orlando on Wednesday morning as they won their third match in as many days in as many tries with a 6-2 win over St. Cloud State University to improve to 5-6 on the season. The Fish will take on Grand Valley State University on Thursday.
Lina Rubiano and Natalia Trotter gave the Sailfish another strong performance at the top of the doubles games with an 8-4 victory while Amber Braaten and Natalie Aleman followed suit with an 8-3 victory at #2-doubles as well. Jordan Ittersagen and Krishna Domenech closed out the doubles sweep with an 8-4 win at #3-doubles.
Although Rubiano dropped a tough game at #1-singles (5-7, 6-7), Braaten was defeated at #4-singles, and Ittersagen was forced to retire at #5-singles, the rest of the Sailfish rotation came through with wins to close out the match.
Aleman won a tight contest at #2-singles with a 6-4, 3-6, 10-7 victory while Trotter went three sets as well at #3-singles with a 6-3, 4-6, 10-7 win. Domenech won more comfortably at #6-singles with a 6-2, 6-4 win.
