Men's Tennis Match at Delray Halted Because of Rain; Will Resume Next Week

DELRAY BEACH, Fla.- A close battle throughout the early stages of their match on Saturday afternoon, the Palm Beach Atlantic University and Northwood University men’s tennis teams got together for a neutral site contest at the Delray Beach Tennis Center. With PBA in front 3-0 after doubles, the match had to be postponed because of rain. The match is slated to resume at its current point next week in West Palm Beach.

Top doubles duo Krasimir Atanasov and Luke Bolanos had the pleasure of having their doubles action on main court at the Delray Beach Tennis Center and came away with a hard-fought 9-7 win. Frankie Moulton and Tyler Dealy would follow with another close victory at #2-doubles at 8-6 while Alex Minicozzi and Nick Hines also came away with a 9-7 win at #3-doubles.

Only two singles matches saw signifigant playing time before the rains came. Atanasov was leading 6-3, 4-3 while Bolanos had won his first set 6-4 while leading 1-0 in set number two at #3-singles.

With the Sailfish looking strong, the match will resume at an announced date next week. Stay tuned for details.
