Fighting Knights Sweep Season Series with Sailfish Behind Solid Shooting

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- The Palm Beach Atlantic University men’s basketball team welcomed in Palm Beach County rival Lynn University on Tuesday evening to wrap up a PBA basketball double-header at the Rubin Arena. An exciting up-and-down affair from the onset, the Knights took hold of the lead just over two minutes into the contest and never looked back as they tacked on some late points to cruise 81-59 over PBA.
Now 9-6 on the season with a pair of victories over the Sailfish, the Fighting Knights handed the Fish their fourteenth loss of the season.
LU placed five players in double-figures and were paced by guard Chris Hall with a game-high 19 points on 7-of-14 from the field including 5-of-9 from beyond the arc.
PBA senior guard DeAndre Williams, forced to step up in the absence of fellow senior Chris Joseph because of injury, put forth his best showing of the season with a solid 18 points on 6-of-10 from the field and 2-of-3 from long-range. He also added four assists.
Three additional PBA players reached double-figures as well with Jonathan Lawrence, Hunter Ross, and Phil Pejovic all tallying 12 points each.
The Fighting Knights saw Bo Jukic add in 15 points and Jovan Robinson register 13 points while big-man Michel Vidal and Kendall Butler each chipped in with 10 points. Vidal just missed a double-double with eight rebounds while controlling the paint with six blocks.
Palm Beach Atlantic will be off from game action until Monday, January 18th when they will travel across town to take on Northwood University at 7 p.m.
